For many years Niemeyer Tractor and Farm Supply was the go-to location for parts and service in Bowling Green Tractor, Missouri. In later years, a group of 10 individuals owned and operated this location as Bowling Green Tractor Equipment, Inc. In March of 2010, Lance Carlson of Quincy Tractor, LLC purchased this location. All employees of Bowling Green Tractor Equipment remained with the then newly formed Bowling Green Tractor. Since this time, rapid growth in business has resulted in several new faces in both parts and service to better meet our customers' needs.
Today Bowling Green Tractor employs 20 fantastic individuals to ensure that we provide the best after-sales support in the area. We hope to find ourselves doing business together soon!
About Quincy Tractor, LLC.
- In March of 1962, Everett Carlson and Elva Carlson decided to purchase a Minneapolis Moline dealership in Dow, IL. Everett was a part-time farmer and mechanic at an international dealer in Jersey County Illinois at the time. Their son Roger Carlson, who had the idea to buy the store, soon joined the business in September of 1962. The dealership also represented the New Idea line of equipment.
- In 1975, Everett, Elva, and Roger decided to buy Walter Chatten Company in Quincy, Illinois. Walter Chatten Company was also a Minneapolis Moline dealership at that time. They were also a dealer for White, Sperry-New Holland, and New Idea. At this time, Walter Chatten Company was located at 10th and Broadway in Quincy, Illinois.
- Everett Jr. Carlson came into the business in 1976 after the move to Quincy. Everett and Roger would eventually end up buying Everett Sr. And Elva out.
- In 1985, Walter Chatten Company took on the Ford tractor line. That ended up being the perfect marriage for what would later be a merger between New Holland and Ford. In 1985, Walter Chatten Company also made the move from 10th and Broadway in Quincy to 2507 Spring Lake Road in Quincy, Illinois. This is the current location of the business.
- In November of 2008, Lance Carlson, who is the son of Roger, bought out the business from Roger and Everett Jr. Since buying the business, Lance has expanded his coverage with other lines and acquisitions of other businesses and changed the name to Quincy Tractor, LLC.

- Everett Carlson Sr. and his wife Elva have passed away, along with their sons Roger, Everett Jr. and daughter Peggy. To this day, Lance still maintains the family atmosphere that his dealerships always maintained. Lance's brother Chad Carlson now helps in parts in Quincy. Roger still processes sales and maintains customer relations. In May of 2012, Lance's son and fourth-generation Zachary decided to join the family business. The Carlson's, along with a fantastic group of employees, will continue to provide top-notch equipment and service that our customers have been accustomed to since 1962.
